Operation Propulsion

Operation Propulsion

16th of June, 2022

From the intelligence local residents have provided we have been made aware of several incidents and issues surrounding Motor-Nuisance Anti-Social Behaviour in your community. Lancashire Constabulary would like to inform you that in order to tackle this kind of behaviour we are launching a dedicated operation.

Operation Propulsion has been devised to combat the issue of illegal and nuisance use of off-road motorbikes, mopeds, scrambler bikes, quad bikes and e-scooters in your area. As part of this operation we will be carrying out the following:

• Police Officers overtly patrolling hotspot areas during known times of increased activity.
• Patrols in intelligence-lead locations where bikes and other nuisance vehicles are being stored.
• Patrols at local service and petrol stations to minimise opportunities for fuel supply.
• Visits to local landowners to advise on preventative measures.
• Signpost people who require additional help or support to the appropriate partner agencies.
• Signage within hotspot areas.
