(UNION LANE, OUT RAWCLIFFE, WYRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Union Lane, Out Rawcliffe from its junction with Lancaster Road to its junction with Moss Side Lane. A temporary footbridge will be in place for pedestrians and cycles for the duration of the works
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0900 hours on Monday 26th October 2020 until 1700 hours on Sunday 13th December 2020 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Lancaster Road - Head Dyke Lane - Burned House Lane -
Hall Gate Lane - Mill Lane - Moss Side Lane
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the refurbishment of Union Bridge to be carried out by Lancashire County Council.
